ResponsibilitiesThe IT Security Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our security systems, applications, and procedures. This role involves performing regular system audits, preparing security reports, and working with the IT Systems Manager to perform upgrades to our systems to ensure maximum security. In this role, you will report to the Director of IT Systems.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilitiesImplement and maintain security protocols and procedures to protect information systems and dataMonitor network traffic for suspicious behavior and identify potential threatsRespond to and investigate security incidents and breachesStay up to date on the latest intelligence, including hackers’ methodologies, to anticipate security breachesDevelop strategies to handle security incidents and coordinate responses to security breachesEducate staff on information security through training and awareness programsDocument security breaches and assess the damage they causeRecommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures to prevent cyber-attacks QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent computer and technical skillsExcellent organization skills with ability to multitaskAble to effectively adapt to changeAble to successfully interact with people in face-to-face situations and by telephone in a professional and effective manner at all levels of authorityStrong internal and external customer-service skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:
Associate’s in Computer Science or a related fieldProven experience as a Security Analyst or similar roleExperience with security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, Microsoft O365, log management, and content filteringFamiliarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, ISO 27001, PCI)Security+ Certifications and/or vocational training is preferredStrong understanding of information security principles, techniques, and protocolsWillingness to grow and develop new skills while helping create solutions to support growth and expansion into new territories and markets
