Develops, implements, and maintains complex network and firewall security plans and configurations. **This position is based out of Boulder, CO, but can be fully remote** **Responsibilities** + Performs security assessments and evaluates new technology. + Provides security analysis and support on complex systems for monitoring, troubleshooting, configuring, reporting, implementing, installing, and upgrading core infrastructure hardware and software Battelle's infrastructure. + Provides advanced technical expertise, consulting, and support to staff members with security tasks. Recommends appropriate actions to improve project security and designs new monitoring strategies for complex securing systems. + Interfaces with other Battelle teams to design, implement, install, and upgrade secure systems. + Engages external vendors when needed to resolve complex problems or bugs. + Acts as a key member of the security or compliance Team by providing monitoring, investigation, and ongoing support to help maintain a high level of availability of secure systems. **Key Qualifications** + Five years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field. + Knowledge of software development, patterns, vulnerability assessment, and software testing methodologies. + Knowledge of cloud environments and how to implement cloud architectures. + Experience advocating and driving adoption of industry best practices. + Effective verbal and written communication, organization, and time management, planning and delegation skills. + Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework and controls, e.g. 800-171 and 800-53. **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems. + Experience participating in or conducting audits of IT controls. + Experience with FEDRAMP, CMMC, DFARS 252.204-7012. **Salary** $90,195-$122,400 This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.
