Job SummaryThis position, under the direction of the IT manager, is responsible for establishing and maintaining IT governance for Battelle Arctic Research Operations to NIST 800 guidelines to be compliant with industry and contractual requirements. The incumbent of this position is responsible for generating IT security policy and developing actionable processes and standards.
This position is based out of Boulder, CO, but can be fully remote
Responsibilities Perform periodic review of existing Battelle cyber security policy - compare with comparable existing industry and government policies; compare with Battelle’s security roadmap and goals; perform gap analysis and develop policies to close those gaps.Work closely with project managers, security team, and ARO Information Technology to ensure compliance, facilitate remediation, and facilitate continuous improvement.Oversee certification and accreditation process of project information systems.Perform risk assessments on information system security controls.Maintain close familiarity of industry practices and current trends.Act as a liaison and subject matter security expert on IT managed projects.Develop and facilitate cyber security awareness training.Other security related duties as assigned.Key Qualifications Eight years of Information technology, IT Security or Security Governance/Compliance experience.Knowledge of software development, patterns, vulnerability assessment, and software testing methodologies.Effective verbal and written communication, organization, and time management, planning and delegation skills.Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework and controls, e.g. 800-171 and 800-53.Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.Experience conducting audits of IT controls.Expertise in written technical communications.Experience with FEDRAMP, CMMC, DFARS 252.204-7012.
Salary
$109,830-$149,000
