IT Security and Compliance Analyst I - Remote Opportunity

We are searching for a meticulous, upbeat team member for our Information Security organization. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work with and learn about KinderCare’s computer systems and data.

You are the ideal team member if you are passionate about security frameworks, privacy impact analyses, and risk assessments. Other key skills will include attention to detail, focus on data quality, familiarity with IT General Controls, COBIT5, ISO, CIS or NIST and security audits.

This role will collaborate with the IT Security team taking direction to support the efforts that identify and correct vulnerabilities, remediate risks, and address gaps in the company’s systems, solutions, and programs while recommending specific measures that can improve the company’s overall security posture. The Analyst is part of a team responsible for maintaining and supervising our security systems; you will work with your peers to learn about securing both cloud and on-premises infrastructures, analyzing metrics and data to filter out suspicious activity, identifying and mitigating risk.

Responsibilities:Support the annual planning of the company's Information Security compliance effortsWork with Internal Audit to communicate results of ITGC and potentially operational audits and lead mitigation effortsWork with the team to review the organization’s security risk profile, partnering with IT teams to assess, build mitigation plans and update risk registerSupport ITGC, PCI DSS, SOX, SOC2, and COBIT5 control testing, including communicating results in a timely and collaborative mannerSupport the IT Security Analyst II to coordinate with the Business Process Owners in ensuring that documentation, testing, remediation, and the appropriate controls associated with financial reporting are identified and documented in the process documentation, as well as provide education and trainingSupport the IT Security Analyst II to coordinate evidence requests with internal and external auditors resulting from audits of the company's internal controls over financial reportingPrepare reports to key partners and senior management on the status of compliance effortsUse knowledge and judgment to design effective control test plansBuild, update, and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and IT Policies as neededCraft, update, and handle RFP’s (Requests for Proposal), and Third-Party Questionnaire requests Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Science or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Knowledge of ISO27001, NIST, SOC or other security frameworks desired

A curiosity about IT Security, IT Audit or Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) roles or some combination

Familiarity with Information Technologies, to be able to translate and interrupt controls, testing and results

Success in working with multi-functionally with diverse teams desired

Excellent written and oral communication skills including a high level of attention to detail

Ability to proactively take information and make recommendations on next steps

Outstanding organizational skills

Ability to work optimally under pressure and tight deadlines

Ability to build and develop strong working relationships

Proficient digital literacy required, with extensive knowledge of all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
