IT Security Specialist

Key Responsibilities:-

Design, implementation and support of enterprise security solutions including:

 Anti-Virus and Anti-MalwareWhole-disk encryptionVulnerability and compliance scanning.Log managementMobile Device Management

Perform threat and vulnerability assessments.

Oversee vulnerability tracking and mitigation activities.

Create and maintain technical and operational solution documentation.

Function as Security Point of Contact and/or Team Lead when required for internal projects.

 

Qualifications:

US Citizenship

BA/BS or equivalent combination of related work experience.

5+ years of professional IT experience, last 3 focused on IT security.

Security certification – CISSP preferred.

Must pass background check and be able to attain Public Trust status.

Extensive experience with one or more of the following tools:

 Symantec End-Point Protection (Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware, Network Threat Protection, Application and Device Control, Firewall).Symantec Data-at-Rest (DAR) whole disk encryption.Retina CS or CAE vulnerability and SCAP compliance scanner. ArcSight LoggerMaaS 360

Hands-on technical experience with Windows desktop and server operating system platforms, Mac or Linux desktop platforms.

Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and exchange architecture and operation a plus.

Strong understanding of general Cybersecurity concepts.

Strong understanding of networking and associated protocols.

Ability to write scripts to automate tasks desired.

Knowledge of FISMA requirements and NIST standards focusing on Assessment & Authorization, Risk Management Framework and Continuous Monitoring.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Visio.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working in a process oriented environment.
