Overview of The Role

The Senior Analyst, IT Network & Telecommunication works with a team who’s responsible for overseeing system installations, as well as monitoring and maintaining the organisation’s servers and evaluating new server hardware and software.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter:

Participate in the planning, design, configuration and deployment of company LANs, WANs, Voice and wireless networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, UPSs, PDUs and other hardware to ensure that the network meets company performance and availability requirementsDaily operational maintenance of existing network infrastructure. (SDWAN, ZScaler, Infoblox, ISE, Wireless, Solarwinds, etc.)Design, plan and troubleshoot network related problems in an enterprise environment with expertise in Cisco Routers, Switches, NGFW, Intrusion Prevention (IPS) and web filteringLiaise with vendors for new hardware and software acquisitions and keep appropriate maintenance agreements current and effectiveWork with global and regional teams to deliver IT or business projectsProvide expert advice to other initiatives relying on network & infrastructure servicesPlay a key role in maturing the network systems in the areas of routing, switching, security, collaboration, wireless, physical data center standards and monitoring systemsCollaborate and coordinate daily with other IT teams to deliver on new projectsPerform system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting and escalating issues, including proactive problem resolution and complex problem analysis as necessary, to maintain system performance to meet user demandReduce operational risk and improve availability of the overall infrastructure by ensuring access, monitoring, control, evaluation and documentation practices are maintained and adhered toEvaluate new system hardware and solutions and monitor the market for emerging technologyCollect and analyse operational data (especially incident and change records) to identify emerging trends and log problem records to assist with problem resolution and increased network availabilityDocumentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.Security: Monitor network security measures to protect data, systems, and network integrity. collaboration with cybersecurity for Incident Response and cybersecurity investigation

You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Qualifications:

College diploma in the field of Computer Science or equivalentMinimum 7 years of equivalent work experience in a network positionCCNP is preferred or equal experienceDeep experience with Routing & SwitchingStrong working knowledge of network/internet Protocols/Services such as TCP/IP stack, Ethernet, BGP, OSPF EIGRP, QOS, DHCP, IPAMExpertise with Cisco ISR routers, Cat 9xxx, 3850’s, 4500’s, Nexus 9k, NGFWFamiliarity with operation, management and fault diagnosis of real time transaction processing systemsKnowledge of WIFI, Dot1x, Web proxy, and other network security infrastructure/monitoring toolsSDWAN expertise is an assetUnderstanding of firewall principles, rules, and traffic flow.  Firewall experience is an asset.Proven experience in leading small to large technical projects with demonstrated oral and written ability to communicate with team membersMust know when to ask for assistance, and when to help collaborativelyMust be approachable, teachable, and a team player with a strong desire to continue learning and expanding their experience in a highly evolving environmentExperience with network asset management, including maintenance of network components, inventory and related documentationSuperior troubleshooting skillsWillingness to work beyond core business hours / on call, if necessary to minimize business interruption during planned or unplanned network/system modificationsExcellent time-management to handle a heavy workload at various time of the year and project lifecycleAvailable for travel as requiredAbility to get to and travel easily between our different sitesBe part of on-call 24/7 support rotationExperience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Salary Range: $70,050 - $91,950

* Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience education, skills, and training.
