We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Expert IT Industrial Control within our IT – Sr Analyst – Industrial Control Systems (ICS) group based in Houston, TX.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary support for Nexus, Field Mobility, Seeq and OSI PI (AVEVA) application modules.
  • Assist Nexus, Field Mobility, Seeq and PI users and troubleshoot/coordinate issue resolution.
  • Develop and support increasing levels of integration, data flow and data analytics for PI. Apply good data security practices across applications and domains.
  • Testing and evaluation of new IT ICS technologies. Installation, administration and advanced troubleshooting of in the protected and the business network.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation – assist users and troubleshoot/coordinate basic issue resolution for other major ICS applications reported through on-call.
  • Actively participate in PI related ICS projects – including planning, managing, designing, and implementing.
  • Coordinate projects with other stakeholders – various IT teams, business users, vendors etc.
  • Collaborate with other OXY ICS resources.
  • Develop documentation, Knowledge Articles, Standards, Best Practices, and Procedures as applicable.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree with relevant experience
  • Basic knowledge of AVEVA Pi Historian
  • Basic knowledge about software development languages (C#, Python, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge SQL databases
  • Basic knowledge of Office 365 tools
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Strong work ethic and quick learner. Ability to take on challenges and work independently

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of AWS
  • Basic understanding of Azure
