Job Summary/General Purpose of Job 
Responsible for managing EMC storage and Brocade SAN in client environment. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
•       Understand client requirement, and provide end to end solution and timelines.
•       Installation and commissioning of new Brocade SAN, XtremIO and VPLEX VS6 in the environment
•       Lead and direct SAN refresh – replacement of Brocade DCX 8510 directors with DCX6-8 directors
•       Lead and direct deployment/migration of VMAX / UNITY arrays to XtremIO configured behind VPLEX. 
•       Hands and feet support for FC cabling, routing and coordination with Facilities for the project duration.
•       Technical Management of pre-cutover, during and post cutover tasks
•       Troubleshooting and resolution of all issues. Responsible for resolving all issues pertaining to storage migrations in a timely manner with proper resolution & communication.
•       Co-ordinate and manage migrations/cutovers aligning to ITIL and Client processes.
•       Document and provide best practices on maintenance and configuration documentation of migrated systems
•       Vendor co-ordination and liaising
Experience 
•       Overall storage administration experience of 7+ years.
•       Strong hands on experience in VPLEX administration and XtremIO [5+ years] 
•       Strong hands on experience in SAN migration / refresh projects [5+ years]
•       Exposure and some experience on other storage technologies e.g. VMAX, UNITY will be a plus.
•       Exposure to build and manage storage systems.
•       Experience in data center migrations and consolidations for storage technology 
•       Experience in installation/upgrade for VPLEX clusters 
•       Capacity planning and performance management 
•       Basic understanding of network technologies and architecture
•       Basic understanding of UNIX and Windows administration
•       Basic understanding of backups technologies
•       Automation using Shell scripting (shell/PERL/python) 
•       Experience in a large, geographically dispersed environment 
•       Experience in monitoring (h/w and OS) solutions for storage systems
•       Experience in solution design / Configuration/solutions evaluation/ Validation and deployment
•       Exposure to ITIL processes (incident, problem, change) and working in a process oriented environment is a must
•       Ability to work with minimal direction, yet also able to work in team environment
•       Experience in vendor management and co-ordination
•       Excellent verbal, written communications and interpersonal skills 
•       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•       Excellent Planning and Co-ordination skills
•       Experience in leading a globally dispersed team of at least 6-8 people
•       Experience and desire to work in a management consulting domain 
•       EMC Certifications in storage management (XtremIO / VPLEX).
