Detailed Job Description:

The VMware Administrator role is responsible for the designing, building, and operation of the VMware vSphere Stack including the underlying hardware platforms. The role consists of managing hardware, the ESXi Hypervisor, Virtual Machines, capacity, currency and related infrastructure level process automations.

Responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute:

Creating a new VM Adding RAM NIC CPU Disk for the VM. Adding the VM to required Network Installing & Upgrading VM tools to Virtual machines. Deploy an ESXi host, vCenter Server instance ESXi Deploy and manage thin - provisioned virtual machines Migrate virtual machines with VMware vSphere vMotion Manage vSphere infrastructure with VMware vSphere Web Client and VMware vSphere Client Migrate virtual machines using VMware vSphere Storage vMotion Manage access control using vCenter Server Monitor resource usage using vCenter Server Manage VMware vSphere High Availability Apply patches using VMware vSphere Update Manager Create Snapshot of Virtual machine Configure, Manage & deploy new Virtual in VDI. Manage access management of new user in VDI Hands-on experience with Windows server and components, VMware Sound Knowledge in Hypervisors. Knowledge of Citrix Architecture Ability to perform proof-of-concept on new technologies. Linux system administration skill (Red hat), package installation, network configuration, troubleshooting. Handle tickets in Service Now. Knowledge of ITIL or equivalent process. Skill sets & Certification requirement: Good verbal and communications skills. Good work experience on Vmware,HyperV,Citrix. Certifications in VMWare would be an added advantage.
