IT Senior Manager, Optimization Lead
The IT Sr. Manager, Optimization Lead, is responsible for identifying and managing optimization initiatives for Global Technology. This includes executing on process, vendor and spend efficiency initiatives, partnering across the Global Technology teams, Sourcing and Finance. Part of the Global Technology Extended Leadership team, this role will execute the change management to ensure all Global Technology leaders understand the initiatives, rationale and execution plans. + Responsible for lowering the overall cost through the implementation of optimization and/or efficiency initiatives. + Develop and implement strategies to optimize technology costs across the organization. + Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. + Monitor and analyze technology spending to ensure alignment with budgetary goals. Vendor Management: + Manage relationships with key technology vendors to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness. + Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions. + Evaluate vendor performance and implement improvement plans as needed. + Partners with Sourcing to negotiate supplier agreements. + Lead initiatives to optimize vendor performance and value. Process Improvements: + Lead initiatives to streamline and improve technology-related processes. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices. + Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance vendor management practices. + Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational efficiency. Strategic Planning: + Develop and execute a strategic plan for global technology optimization. + Align technology optimization efforts with overall business objectives. + Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on technology investments and cost-saving opportunities. Leadership Communication: + Communicate effectively with partners, providing regular updates on vendor performance and initiatives. + Navigates the IT organization effectively - knows where, how, when and with whom to interact to drive results. + Understands and follows the UL Solutions Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices. + Interacts and partners with various IT vendors to provide the necessary products and services needed to meet the enterprise and business needs. + Works closely with Sourcing to execute initiatives. + Responsible for stakeholder management (fostering relationships, establishing credibility) on a regular cadence with critical internal stakeholders. + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. + Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in technology management, cost optimization, and vendor management. + Proven track record of driving cost savings and process improvements in a global organization. + Strong negotiation and contract management skills. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. + Strong communication and presentation skills. Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $135,000 to $180,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
