Essential Function
This position is a critical role in the Finance IT area that will be responsible to lead various Finance IT systems - providing thought leadership on new projects/programs, defining architecture, execution and delivery of projects/programs and on-going support of all Finance systems. Partner with business stakeholders across various functions to ensure seamless support of existing applications and prioritize changes/enhancements for delivery of critical improvements. Partner with MSP/AMS providers to ensure seamless support, reliability and availability of systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Primary Duties
25% Actively align with business and IT partners to prioritize needs and maximize system functionality to contribute to organizational strategy and governing compliance standards.
25% Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising performance with a strong focus on development and succession planning.
20% Implement new technologies and enhancements in alignment with defined company strategies and with strict adherence to defined project management procedures. Oversee multiple, concurrent projects which can be large and/or complex. Coordinate with PMO to modify procedures as needed to maximize effectiveness and controls.
10% Oversee, control and evaluate operations of assigned applications and computer systems, following policies and practices as defined for system access, testing, change management, and advancement to production. Continuously evaluate policies and practices for improvement opportunities to meet best in class standards.
10% Contribute to creating the annual department budget and ensure cost effectiveness of all assigned activities.
5% Audit systems and assess their outcomes to ensure security of data, network access and backup systems of assigned areas in compliance with defined IT Security policies and practices.
5% Other Duties as assigned.
Competencies and Attributes
Proven working experience as an IT Finance manager – managing team priorities, performance management etc BS/BBA in Computer Science, MIS or similar field or equivalent work experience. Strong and proven work experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion, EPM/EDM, Sales Audit, Tax, Invoice processing etc. Experience with at least 1-2 full cycle implementations of Finance products and on-going run operations Strong architecture, design and development experience for products along with Integrations. Hands-on experience required. Technically proficient and strong expertise with Financial products, Data/SQL, Integration toolsets, Cloud/SaaS applications. Able to understand and work with Infrastructure teams Understanding of key financial business processes within the context of Financial applications – GL/COA, AP, AR, P2P, RTR, Cash Management/Treasury, Tax, Project Systems, Fixed Assets etc. Experience with collaborating with cross-functional IT teams to deliver critical projects Experience partnering with business stakeholders and able to drive and influence decisions Experience working in a organization with SI partners, and MSP/AMS arrangements Experience with the entire SDLC lifecycle of projects – Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid modelsWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
