Overview of the Role:
What is Tools & Automation? Our mandate is clear: to enhance the user experience across our PMO tools through the integration of intelligent automation while mitigating existing manual interventions and pain points. Collaborating closely with O&T PMO teams, Enterprise Tool and Reporting team, and key functions, we are poised to deliver a transform experience this year. Our strategic focus revolves around several key projects and goals outlined for this year. The Sr System Analyst role is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area.
This role applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Develop and maintain software solutions that automate tedious and time-consuming manual business processes. This role will also lead initiatives related to the design and management of workflow automation projects. Additional responsibilities include creating and maintaining technical documentation, testing and fixing bugs, training users, identifying technology solutions based on business needs, and providing technical support. To succeed, the ideal candidate should have strong analytical and communication skills, experience in process improvement, and proficiency in various development tools and methodologies. The role involves collaboration with stakeholders, development teams, and users to ensure the successful implementation and optimization of business processes and tools. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of data management and reporting tools. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that align with the organization’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with OPMO stakeholders to identify and analyze areas for process improvement in current tools.
Assist users in preparing detailed user stories for enhancements and new functionalities in a clear and concise manner, and create acceptance criteria for the development team.
Act as a liaison between business users and the development team to ensure that user expectations and requirements are clearly understood and met.
Organize and facilitate UAT and sign-off activities with OPMO users.
Develop and maintain process documentation, including requirement documents, workflows, use cases, and process maps.
Create and maintain the requirements backlog and metrics to identify gaps and areas of improvement in the internal process.
Engage with TFS Org PMO stakeholders to gather and clarify business requirements and prioritize features. Lead internal sprint planning sessions and work with product owners to ensure alignment of sprint goals.
Participate in testing cycles and coordinate user acceptance testing from the TFS Org PMO perspective to ensure the solutions meet business objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify PMO dashboard improvements to enhance user experience and deliver better insights.
Develop and maintain web applications using Angular. Integrate Angular applications with SharePoint.
Develop and maintain web applications using Tableau/Prep.
Write efficient SQL queries to interact with databases.
Utilize Python for backend development and data manipulation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex concepts/requirements into user-friendly language.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Experience in automation tools and technologies.
Familiarity with agile methodologies.
Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
6+ years of experience in a business analyst role or similar, with exposure to agile frameworks.
Hands-on experience with Tableau for dashboard design, creation, and reporting.
Familiarity with sprint planning, backlog grooming, and requirements management.
Knowledge of agile tools (i.e., JIRA, Azure DevOps) is a plus.
Proven experience with Angular development is a plus.
Strong knowledge of SharePoint integration with Angular.
Proficiency in SQL and database management.
Experience with Python programming.
Familiarity with other coding concepts and languages is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Gen AI development is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
