IT Service Desk Intern

The Information Technology department is looking for a Service Desk Intern to join their team in Eden Prairie, MN!

Position Summary:

Cambria has an excellent opportunity for a motivated, organized individual seeking a challenging and rewarding internship opportunity in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for performing hands on technical support across the organization. Our technicians use problem-solving and people skills to ensure Cambria staff are provided swift resolutions to their technical needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete and present a capstone project related to department business needs. This will include research, analysis, and presenting the overall findings and suggestions to peers and Cambria Leaders.

Respond to requests for IT assistance via phone, email, or in person

Troubleshoot incident tickets and advise users on appropriate actions

Research questions and publish responses in the Knowledge Base

Identify and escalate situations which require urgent attention

Install software programs that are requested of users

Take part in daily IT functions, primarily with the IT Service Desk

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications & Skills:

Strong attention to detail

Critical thinking and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently or within a team

Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and successfully meet deadlines

Education: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's program in Computer Science or a related program. Expected graduation date of 2025, 2026, and 2027.

Experience: Some experience in a related field preferred

Systems: Technical experience with Windows 7, Apple Mac and Apple iOS, JIRA, and Help Desk software, peripherals experience with setting up printers, external hardware, etc.

Managerial Responsibilities: No

Travel Requirements: Limited travel locally (Eden Prairie, Belle Plaine and Le Sueur)

Physical Requirements: In-office position requiring telephone and computer use.  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Program Dates: May 19, 2025 - August 8, 2025; M-F; 40 hour work week
