IT Software Asset Management Specialist

We are seeking an IT software asset management specialist with experience in software audits. This role involves managing software licenses as well as consulting on audits. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a deep understanding of the software asset management lifecycle, licensing, and the ability to communicate effectively with product teams, senior leadership and executives. The specialist will provide updates and address concerns with IT leadership and provide ongoing training on technology, procedures, and service quality standards.

What You’ll Do

Software Asset Management (SAM):

You’ll participate in logging and tracking software assets in a software license management system.You’ll perform internal audits to determine license positions and assist with annual compliance reporting or renewals. Analyze data to optimize license positions and mitigate risks.Project manage software audits by acting as the single point of contact with internal teams and auditors to prepare, coordinate, and respond to all audit requests.You’ll engage in research, planning, scoping and ongoing support for software license inquiries and implementation.  You’ll share software license knowledge with internal teams.You’ll enforce IT software policies and standards.  Follow up on status of and verify the desired outcome of software remediation/optimization effort.You’ll service as liaison between internal and external parties.  Create, monitor and report project correspondences by preparing and reviewing action plans, proposals, memos, meeting minutes, and emails.You’ll facilitate meetings, coordinate tasks for software asset management project and report status, escalate barriers and provide options.

What You’ll Need

You have experience leading software audit defense in coordination with procurement and cooperate legal.You have a strong desire to provide high-quality customer service and offer guidance regarding software licensing while maintaining compliance.You have exceptional presentation and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.You have a broad IT asset management background and in-depth IT infrastructure knowledge.    You have project management skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various teams.You have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft licensing agreements and experience with Microsoft annual true-up and contract renewals is a plus.Your proficiency in software asset management tools (Flexera One is a plus).You have relevant IT asset management certifications, such as CSAM, CITAM, or CHAMP is a plus

The starting pay range for this position is:

$117,600.00 - $156,400.00

Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
