About the job
As an IT Software Developer on our Digital Operations team, you will analyze, design, develop, test, and modify our Magento/Adobe Commerce presence. This also includes the integration of the store’s data and processes to existing internal as well as external applications such as Salesforce or NetSuite.
As an IT Software Developer, you may:
• Write and build Magento solutions and authoring custom modules incorporating
current software development best practices and methodologies
• Adhere to standards and methodologies around areas such as: project delivery, security,
data privacy, architecture, development (including testing, documentation & deployment),
and automation
• Support and drive the global expansion of the JMP Store
• Database manipulation and working with web services (REST)
• Data and process integration of Magento to internal and external applications
• Collaborate with internal and external developers and architects to implement
customized features in Magento
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and bug fixes
• Perform code reviews for other developers
• Participate in occasional communication with customers to help resolve issues with the Store UI
Required Qualifications
• In-depth understanding of the inner workings of the Magento/Adobe Commerce platform
• Coding proficiency in PHP and mySQL
• Experience with Zend Framework and Model-View-Controller Architecture
• Basic understanding of code versioning via Git
• Experience developing with the Agile development methodology
• Demonstrated ability to manage time across multiple projects
• Ability to work and learn independently and as part of a team
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers and management
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
Experience
Five years of programming experience in an applications development or consulting environment,
including three years of development experience in a Magento/Adobe Commerce environment.

• Experience with Salesforce and/or NetSuite
• Knowledge of a foreign language, preferably Japanese or Spanish
