**Position: IT Software Development Specialist** **Location: Remote** **Duration :10+ months** **Pay Rate: $50/hr on W2** **We are looking for a** **Software Development Specialist** **to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.** Primary Purpose To develop, maintain, test, and debug software in a Windows client/server environment using various programming languages and platforms. This role involves: + Utilizing PL/SQL, Oracle, Progress 4GL ADE, .NET, Microsoft SQL, and other platforms + Formulating system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding + Preparing detailed specifications for program writing + Designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining programs Essential Functions and Responsibilities + Familiarize with application aspects including reports, parameters, claims management, and interfaces + Analyze user needs and assist in designing specifications + Develop and modify software to meet data processing requests + Maintain software for insurance carrier and regulatory requirements + Test and debug assigned projects + Prepare documentation for new or existing software + Investigate and resolve call escalations from support staff + Assist in the professional growth of programmers + Follow departmental standards and guidelines + Maintain high-quality customer service + Stay updated on software development advancements Additional Functions and Responsibilities + Perform other duties as assigned + Support the organization's quality programs Qualifications Education & Licensing + Bachelor's degree required (Information Systems or Computer Science preferred) Experience + Six years of language development or business analytical experience + Proven experience in user requirements interpretation and business applications design Skills & Knowledge + Strong knowledge of language development and applications design + Analytical and interpretive skills + Strong organizational skills + Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills + Ability to work in a team environment + Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies **We are looking for the candidate who are eligible to work with any employers without sponsorship.** If you’re interested, please click **“Apply”** button.
