Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 3 end-to-end SAP implementation projects and deep expertise in the Controlling (CO) module, along with a solid understanding of related Finance (FI) subdomains. 

Qualifications and Skills

Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum of 8–10 years of SAP FICO experience, with a focus on the Controlling module. Proven experience in at least 3 end-to-end SAP implementation projects. In-depth knowledge of SAP CO functionalities, including Cost Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, COPA, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Material Ledger and Trading Partners Price Evaluations.  Strong understanding of SAP FI sub-domains such as GL, AP, AR, and AA. Proficiency in ABAP debugging for troubleshooting purposes. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and resolve complex issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global and multicultural environment. Certification in SAP FICO & S4 HANA is an added advantage.

Required Skills for Internal Candidates

Core Expertise: Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) with specialization in Controlling (CO) modules such as Cost Accounting, Profitability Analysis (COPA), Internal Orders, Product Costing, Material Ledger, Variance Analysis, and Trading Partner processes. Technical Skills: Proficient in SAP configuration and customization. Ability to troubleshoot using ABAP debugging techniques. Project Experience: At least 3 end-to-end SAP implementation projects, including system design, configuration, and deployment. Finance Knowledge: Strong understanding of Finance sub-domains, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting (AA). Analytical Skills: Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement recommendations for complex problems. Communication Skills: Proficient in influencing stakeholders, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and communicating with functional leadership. Innovation & Adaptability: Demonstrates initiative, adaptability to change, and a proactive approach to improving processes and practices.

Knowledge & Experience

Experience: Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in SAP FICO with demonstrated expertise in Controlling. Education: Master's degree (or higher) in a relevant field.

Skills: Integration of theoretical knowledge with organizational practices to deliver high-impact solutions.
 

Key Responsibilities

SAP Controlling Expertise: Design, configure, and support SAP CO functionalities, including Cost Accounting, Profitability Analysis (COPA), Internal Orders, Product Costing, Variance Analysis, and Material Ledger. Manage Trading Partner relationships and ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules. End-to-End Project Implementation: Lead and execute all phases of SAP implementation projects, including requirement gathering, design, configuration, testing, and go-live support. Troubleshooting and Support: Utilize ABAP debugging skills for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Collaborate with technical teams for enhancements and custom developments. Cross-Module Integration: Work closely with Finance sub-domains, ensuring smooth integration with SAP FI modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting (AA). Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy. Other Improvement • Collaborates with key stakeholders to analyze ideas and demands for architectural fit and translates detailed business requirements provided by the solution owner into implementable solution including specific technical requirements 

• Partners with business and IT on solution architecture design.

• Determines the technologies and proposes overall solution architecture based on enterprise architecture and technology understanding 

• Contributes to cost and benefit analysis.

• Keeps the alignment between enterprise architecture blueprint and recommendations and solution implementation. Ensures technical integrity, consistency and quality of the solution on every stage of its lifecycle.

• Solves highly complex technical problems and develops original and innovative solutions with impact on the business.

• Defines and documents detailed solution architectural and system designs. Updates solution design documents as needed based on actual implementations.

• Anticipates internal and external business challenges and / or regulatory issues and drives improvements that create competitive advantage.

• Provides guidance on projects solution design compliance with enterprise architecture and makes recommendations for alignment, quality and efficiency based on experience.

• May be assigned to a particular project or program to ensure technical / architectural integrity and consistency of the solution.
