Canon EMEA is looking for an IT Solution Operations Lead – Tech Foundation to manage end-to-end service of our Tech Foundation applications. This role will be part of the Solution & Adoption department, who is, within the ICT organization, responsible for application delivery & application operations for the Canon EMEA region. The Solution & Adoption department is built up from various domains , such as Finance, Supply Chain, HR and Contract Management. These domains are focused on the business usage of our application landscape.
This role is positioned in the E2E Operations domain, which is responsible for providing a stable foundation in terms of processes and underpinning applications. Within this key role you will be responsible for the end-to-end operations of the applications in scope of this Tech Foundation area.
We have a complex landscape of best-of-breed applications, linked together by our Tech Foundation applications. Examples of the applications in scope of this role are Informatica, IBM BAW, OpenText, Canon Cosmos/Therefore, Azure Datalake, Oracle OAS and Oracle Essbase. These applications are supported by multiple suppliers, as product vendors and/or managed services providers. We expect you to be able to keep an overview across these applications and suppliers, delivering a smooth end-to-end service to your business and IT stakeholders.
You will work in close cooperation with other teams within Canon, esp. the teams responsible for designing and delivering new solutions into our operational application landscape. Together you will define life-cycle management plans and budget requests, operational requirements towards delivery teams, and the acceptance of deliverables into the BaU organization.

As an IT Solution Operations Lead – Tech Foundation, you will:
Manage the end-to-end service of our Tech Foundation applications across middleware, document management and BI-solutions, using best practices in incident and problem management, as well as the other aspects of service management.Improve the E2E data flow efficiency going through our Tech foundation landscape.Ensure and efficient and effective execution of these services, considering quality, cost of service and continuous improvement.Manage the life-cycle of the applications in scope, both in terms of application versions and of support contracts.Ensure that the applications under your control are compliant with internal and external regulations e.g. J-SOx and security requirements.Manage the operational contact with suppliers delivering (part of) the end-to-end service, including cost control and service level consistency. As an IT Solution Operations Lead – Tech Foundation, you will need:
Strong experience in IT Operations, in a multinational and multi-supplier environment.Deep understanding of and proven experience with the Tech Foundations applications in scope (a.o. Informatica, EDI, OAS, Essbase), in a complex, best-of-breed landscape, being able to understand both the IT and business impact these applications bring.Exceptional problem-solving and sound-decision making capabilities, recognized by alternative solutions, and confident, accurate, decision-making coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong stakeholder management skills.Deep knowledge of ITIL on a.o. Incident, Problem, Change, Service Level and configuration management.The ability to organize and lead meetings, set out actions and perform progress control on deliverables.
