PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for leading market understanding and expertise for the space and IT capability line to include technical, cost, competition, and key resource producers for talent acquisition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide experience and subject matter expertise for the designated capabilities:

Serves as the space and IT capability line champion and applies expertise to credibly represent, manage and engage with potential customers and stakeholders to achieve corporate business objectives and expectations.

Responsible to lead market understanding and expertise for the capability line (technologies, competitive cost, market-level competition, key skills).

Supports Yulista corporate capability vision, strategy, priorities, and roadmap; engages appropriate enterprise-wide stakeholders to enable awareness and alignment.

Demonstrates deep understanding of relevant business, professional services and/or product strategies.

Maintains current professional network and knowledge of relevant government, military, information technology and space trends.

Responsible for identification, defense, and execution of investment in the capability line for value proposition enhancement and competitive positioning (e.g., IRAD candidate projects). 

Demonstrates awareness of defined business value.

Documents gap analysis, manages risk, develops operational and costing parameters in support of the space and IT/technical capability.

Ability to navigate through ambiguity and converts thoughts into strategic plans and tactical actions for enterprise solutions.

Strong written and oral communication across a broad set of stakeholders.

Extensive experience or working knowledge in the space, information technology and federal contracts industry.

Demonstrated experience taking initiative, leading cross functional teams, and working across organizational boundaries.

Collaborate with other entities within the organization

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will be responsible for overseeing a team of IT & Space capabilities.

Successful and demonstrated managerial experience in corporate growth strategy

Active professional associations and networks in the field

Demonstrated experience leading teams within or in direct support of a program management office including briefing senior leadership and assisting in requirements development required.

Relevant military experience beneficial

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Growth strategy across relevant capabilities:

Responsible for development of capability pursuit campaigns.

Develop capability-focused strategies for opportunity pursuit, competitive positioning, value prop. investment, talent acquisition, strategic hires

Prepares and delivers gate reviews to qualify pertinent opportunities developed through campaigns

Works with opportunity capture resource for each opportunity which is qualified.

Develops and supports formal proposal development and other artifacts for business development (capabilities presentation, RFI responses)

Supports subsidiary development strategies providing competitive needs for capture success across assigned capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of Bachelors Degree in STEM preferably in systems engineering, information technology, computer science or related discipline, evidence of technical currency and 15+ years of successful experience in technology and space fields.
