What you will be doing

The IT Specialist at the Central Fulfillment Center is responsible for all computer hardware and software support of the pharmacy fulfillment center. This involves working with vendor software applications as well as Albertsons. This specialist would be working directedly with both vendor and Albertsons technical teams to assist with updates, upgrades, troubleshooting, testing, and resolving computer issues, to ensure efficient use of the production line.  The IT Specialist will also act as an IT liaison for any computer-related tasks such as facilitating new associates in gaining access to the fulfillment software system or troubleshooting company laptop/desktops and printers at the site.

The position will be based in Irving, TX. The shift arrangement is a day shift or afternoon shift working Sunday-Thursday with project work occasionally on a Friday. A typical 40-hour workweek with occasional overtime is to be expected.

Main responsibilities

Act as point-of-contact for vendor and Albertsons’ Technical Teams for the installation, configuration, routine maintenance, and ongoing usability of desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, applications, and related technology used at the site within established guidelines. Identify and research technical problems of varying complexity and follow through to resolution. Ensure systems interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems, including servers and peripherals. Maintain appropriate hardware\software inventories and warranties, as well as managing vendor maintenance visits for all managed technologies at the site.  Reports to the General Manager and collaborates closely with Production Maintenance Technicians, ensure an optimal/efficient technical environment including equipment configurations.  Accurately log/document all issues and work efforts. Assist with the creation and maintenance of technical documents. Completes tasks related to end-user onboarding and offboarding. Other duties as assigned concurrent with all applicable laws and regulations.

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience

Required:  1 year experience in a technical support environment Preferred:  Associate’s degree in IT or equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work experience. Technical Experience:  Experience working with MS Office, ServiceNow, basic IP networking, and troubleshooting.

Physical Requirements

Willing and able to stand/walk at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.  Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, rotating, reaching, and lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
