MAG Aerospace is seeing an IT Specialist will be responsible for general IT support for the SETA contract. Serves as a System Administrator for multiple DoD guest systems at various classifications. Tasks include performing help desk, account creation, ticket management, hardware and software installation, troubleshooting and other administrative tasks associated with ongoing maintenance and enhancement of information systems and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs tier 1 support to end users including the following tasks:Creating and responding to helpdesk ticketsProcess new usersHelping and teaching new users how to setup account accessesEnrolling users with mobile devicesTroubleshooting Windows 11 and Microsoft Office issues with end usersTroubleshooting PKI and email issues with end usersResetting passwords on user accountsTroubleshooting Video Teleconference SystemsImaging client computers on various networksGeneral computer user troubleshootingCreating knowledgebase articles to help users with common issuesInstalling and updating applicationsManually updating Host Based Security System (HBSS) - Trelix EPO, Anti-virus and pluginsConfigure VOIP phones and user mailboxes via a VOIP call managerPerform tasks based on new projects and modernizationResearch software and hardware solutionsHelp identify requirements and assist in the approval of hardware/software solutionConduct ongoing cybersecurity maintenance on information systemsUpdating, upgrading, security hardening and maintenance tasks on a variety of servers including physical, virtual and cloud based.Perform Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) configurations on Windows, Linux and Network based technologies.Be able to work independently to produce and maintain system of the following server applications, service types and technologies:Microsoft Windows Server 2019-2022Microsoft Windows 11Microsoft Exchange 2019Microsoft SharePointMicrosoft SQLVMware ESXIVMware VSphereRed Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)Video Teleconference Systems (VTCs)Cisco supported IOS command line interface (CLI)Microsoft Group Policy Objects (GPOs)Microsoft Office suiteDoD CAC PKI token certificate conceptsSecurity hardening of Servers and client Operating SystemsHost Based Security System (HBSS) - Trelix EPO, Anti-virus and pluginsDeploying Windows imagesNetwork technologies including DHCP and VLANsSTIG compliance of Server and client Operating SystemsNSA Type 1 encryption devicesMetro Ethernet WAN technologies (MPLS)ACAS (Tenable Security Center & Nessus) Requirements
Hands on experience with the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and operations of IT technologies such as Desktop Computers, Monitors, Keyboard Video Mouse (KVM) switches, Printers, Laptops, routers, and switches.Demonstrated knowledge of system security certification and accreditation policies, directives, regulations and instructions for Government AIS networks.Knowledge of customer service, the ability to listen carefully and the ability to quickly determine problem solutions or escalation path.Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations). Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make senseAbility to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events). Ability to provide technical training to non-technical end users. Ability to learn, adapt and support new systems and applications.

Bachelors DegreeTwo (2) years experience may be substituted for an associate’s degree or four (4) years with a bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.Meet requirements for DoD 8140 or DoD 8570.Minimum of five (5) years experience in system administration.Preferred Qualifications
An experience in compliance with Army, DoD or other Government Information Systems and Information Assurance policiesExperience in configuration, documenting and security hardening of Microsoft Windows and Linux based systems; risk analysis; disaster recover; system log analysis.Other Qualifications

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $48750 to $81250 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
