Summary The Product Delivery Service (PDS) service line under the Office of Information Technology (OIT) manages acquisitions and orchestrate human capital to deliver and sustain software products to, and in support of, Veterans. Serves as Supervisory Operations Manager providing oversight for Information Technology within the Product Delivery Service (PDS), Health Services Portfolio, Clinical Services Product Line. Responsibilities Duties: Possess mastery technical knowledge of IT infrastructure engineering policies, processes, best practices, and requirements as they relate to hardware platform and operating system technologies and a health delivery systems environment. Act as a primary stakeholder in the underlying information technology (IT) operational processes and functions that support the service, provide direction and monitor all significant activities so the service is delivered successfully. Apply cybersecurity functions (e.g., encryption, access control, and identity management) to reduce exploitation opportunities. Coordinate and manage the overall service provided to a customer end-to-end. Provide input to implementation plans and standard operating procedures. INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: This position does have an Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR) that must be met and regular Specialized Experience qualifications. In order to qualify for this position, you must have experience listed below: Experience: Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below at a proficiency level equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND You must qualify based on your experience as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, GS-13, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Combined technical and management with VistA Electronic Health Record comprised of large complex VistA-based products. This position serves as a Sustainment and Operations Manager for the product line that is largely VistA-based products and senior level experience with VistA at entry is essential for successful performance of duties. AND Selective Placement Factor: In addition to the above requirements, this position includes a competency/KSAs or special qualification without which a candidate could not perform the duties of a position in a satisfactory manner.
