Analyzes and evaluates work concerned with integrated systems of computer programs and computer equipment. Applies technologies and basic management principles to adapt computer methods to a variety of subject matter situations. Oversees and performs equipment installation or relocation, testing and acceptance processes. Responds to and resolves problems with software, hardware and systems management. Integrates hardware, software, and computer related services to provide an integrated information system. Evaluate vendor or employee developed software to assure that it will provide the desired results and operate properly on assigned equipment systems. Basic Requirement for IT Specialist (APPSW/CUSTSPT), NH-2210-04: Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience 1) Developing, configuring, implementing and sustaining software systems, 2) Proficient in modern software platforms with expertise in mobile applications development for iOS and Android, 3) Cloud expertise implementing cloud-base solutions, using cloud-native services from leading providers including Amazon, Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, and 3) Present briefing and prepare, review and approve reports and policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03). The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
