Summary You will serve as a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in the Live Virtual Constructive Training Division, Range Systems Engineering Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV, located in Virginia Beach, VA. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Responsibilities You will serve as the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) Information System Security Officer (ISSO) responsible for the Cybersecurity (CS) Program of the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE). You will ensure that the appropriate operational security posture (e.g., network and system security, physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling) is implemented and maintained for NCTE. You will utilize the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework, Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG), and local security policies. You will provide leadership to government and contractor personnel responsible for system security and accreditation. You will support the assessment of Information Management Systems operational suitability, system interoperability, and program requirements. You will coordinate and collect data, create reporting documents, and perform liaison work with NCTE Program Functional Area Managers, military training commands, and government agencies. You will facilitate the preparations for Cyber Operations Readiness Assessment (CORA) and Cyber Security Inspections (CSI). You will provide informed program-related advice, information, and guidance regarding current and future information systems concepts, doctrine, methods, practices, operations, and technologies. You will provide guidance on Cybersecurity matters during configuration design and modification of information systems. You will review system designs for Cybersecurity directive compliance and recommend changes, mitigations and remediation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying Cybersecurity policy, tactics and techniques to provide technical evaluation of security risks, threats and vulnerabilities to networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives for a Cybersecurity Program.
