Summary You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the PLANS & PROGRAMS DIVISION (SP10), COMMAND INFORMATION OFFICER BRANCH (SPCIO) of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS. Responsibilities You will provide advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of complex DoD IT policies, interpreting IT policies, and standards and guidelines. You will develop policies and processes needed for capturing meta data and other requirements to support a more effective search engine. You will collaborate with stakeholders to obtain concurrence for proposed changes to policies and processes necessary to achieve a more effective information management program across the enterprise. You will be responsible for the development of training materials and presents organizational briefings by conducting training sessions as needed. You will serve as the government IT oversight for insider threat mitigation program and implementation strategy. You will oversee standard procedures and responsibilities for the initiation, management, conduct, and referral of Insider Threat Inquiries in accordance with National Insider Threat Policy. You will develop and manage activities Cloud Service Program governance including policy and process for evaluation, migration, deployment, and operation. You will ensure activities Cloud Service Program is in compliance with the Cloud Broker Playbooks, DoD Cybersecurity Activities Performed for Cloud Service Offerings, DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide requirements. You will ensure activities Cloud Service Program is in compliance with Commercial Cloud Requirements, other relevant DoD/DON IT and Cybersecurity requirements. You will prepare briefing materials and supports Chief Information Officer (CIO) in briefing activities senior leadership in matters related to the incumbent areas of responsibilities. You will identify and resolve IT workforce issues, business processes, engineering concepts, and to lead/conduct studies designed to identify potential improvements in the way information technology is applied to key business functions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing advice and guidance on IT policies and guidelines; managing a cloud service program policies and evaluations; and/or compliance assessments on IT governments and information protection across an enterprise. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
