Who You’ll Work With:
Festival Foods is Wisconsin-based; with the history of a +70-year strong company that is still growing – we opened our 42nd store last year, and have over 8,000 teammates on our team. Our IT function is experiencing growth. You’ll be on our development team, reporting to our IT Development Manager, and be part of a team that includes IT Developer(s) and IT Sr. Developer(s).You’ll collaborate with our PMO (Project Manager and Business Analysts), Infrastructure, and business teams.What You’ll Do:
Here’s what a typical day might look like:
Develop & Enhance Solutions: Build and maintain ETL data integrations with Azure Data Factory, create advanced SQL queries and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server, and design and maintain high-performance applications using C#, .NET Core, and JavaScript.Collaborate & Lead: Work with team members to design technical specifications, lead complex projects, and implement high-quality solutions tailored to business needs. Work closely with business users to understand project requirements, develop timelines, create test plans, debug, and ensure a smooth implementation.Support & Optimize: Troubleshoot issues, manage production environments, and proactively identify trends to ensure system reliability and performance.Uphold Standards: Follow established project management, security, confidentiality, and development processes while contributing ideas to improve efficiency and quality. Contribute to coding and testing best practices in SSRS Production and Test environments, ensuring every solution meets rigorous quality benchmarks.Secure & Protect: Safeguard sensitive data and collaborate on strategies to strengthen system security.Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.Support the Team: Other duties as assigned.What You Bring:
In this Sr. IT Developer role at Festival Foods, we’re looking for someone with strong technical and leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset. To excel in this role, you should have:
Education: A degree in Computer Science, Programming, MIS, or a related field.Experience:5+ years of experience with programming languages like C#, .NET Core, PHP, and JavaScript.Proficiency in Microsoft T-SQL and ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory.Familiarity with Agile development and ITIL principles (a plus!).Proactive Approach: A collaborative approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage both individual and team projects.Physical Demands and Work Environment:
