IT Support Analyst

As our Calgary client's IT infrastructure continues to expand, they are seeking an IT Support Analyst to join their dynamic team. This full-time, permanent position is based in Calgary, Alberta, with a hybrid work model. The successful candidate will provide a wide range of IT support, including hands-on desk-side assistance, systems administration, vendor management, and strategic input. This role will also work closely with the Managed Services Provider (MSP) to ensure smooth IT operations.
Our Ideal CandidateExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized with a structured approachIndependent self-starter with a proactive mindsetStrong attention to process and documentationHigh integrity, collaborative attitude, and a positive outlookPatient, friendly, and helpful demeanorKey ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the MSP and third-party providers to deliver exceptional IT support to staff and directorsCollaborate with the MSP on:Support Ticket Monitoring: Ensure timely and effective resolution of IT support ticketsHardware & Network Support: Assist with laptop deployment, troubleshooting, peripherals, and on-site infrastructure (network, MFPs, AV)Desktop Application Support: Provide hands-on support for common applicationsTelecommunications Support: Manage and support the VOIP phone system and mobile devicesCybersecurity: Enforce IT security policies, conduct user education, monitor activity, and respond to incidentsAsset Analysis & Cost Optimization: Conduct quarterly reviews of IT assets and software licenses, ensuring accurate MSP invoicingIT Strategy & Initiatives: Participate in IT projects and strategic discussionsQualificationsDegree or diploma in Computer Science or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of relevant IT experienceAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office SuiteExperience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Entra, SharePoint, Intune)Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM)Previous IT experience in the oil and gas sector is an assetWorking ConditionsHybrid work environmentCore hours: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday to Friday)Occasional work outside core hours as neededIf you're a proactive IT professional looking to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you!
