Cleveland-Cliffs is in search of an IT Support Engineer. This position is on-site at the Middletown Works facility in Middletown, OH. The IT Support Engineer maximizes the effectiveness of site technology by supporting and managing all user-facing equipment and relative applications. The IT Support Engineer also supports in partnership back-office technologies where needed, serves as a team member in support of both local and larger IT projects, and actively supports OneCliffs standards and practices.  The IT Support Engineer will focus on identifying areas of improvement and submitting recommendations for such improvement to management for consideration.  

Summary of Responsibilities:

Remain continually customer focused. Follow-up to ensure customer satisfactionPerform work in accordance with Cliffs’ best practices and policiesManage, troubleshoot, plan, prioritize and track work efforts using the Cliffs ticketing system to ensure the timely resolution of user requests and problemsCreate and maintain appropriate documentationCommissions and supports user-facing hardware including laptops, desktops, peripherals, mobile/portable devices, and printersProvide basic user training when necessarySupport specialized systems such as lab systems, premises security, engravers, compression testers, scale systems, other computer-controlled industrial equipment, and conference room technologiesCollaborate with existing and new vendors to support IT systemsCan provide network (LAN/WAN) and server support in tandem with enterprise IT teamsIdentify user needs and present/implement solutionsParticipate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within existing technologiesMaintain accurate inventories of hardware and software assetsContribute to the value of his/her entire working team through thoughtful discussion and collaborationWork in close partnership with the site IT and PA resourcesOff-hours support for critical incidentsOccasional travel may be requiredPerforms other tasks as required

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical field with:Strong communication skills, both written and verbalActive DirectoryBasic Server and Network administrationDesktop technologiesWireless technologiesMobile device technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

Microsoft Certified Systems AdministratorA+ certificationNetwork + certificationExperience in manufacturing environment
