TITLE: IT Support Specialist

REPORTS TO: VP of Fleet, Technology, & Systems
EMPLOYEE: Full-Time; Hourly
POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Support Specialist role is a key member of the organization’s IT strategy. Our business is continuing to grow, driving the need for our IT department to expand. The successful individual would limit downtime by being a valuable resource for our company. This individual needs to have the organizational skills to manage our computer and hardware inventory while being frugal to prevent excess. A successful candidate is a self-motivator as they will work independently on many projects but also has strong communication skills when partnering with Operations or customers. The candidate must be comfortable and enjoy solving problems that require investigation and do not have clear steps to the solution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages Technical AssetsAssists in maintaining hardware inventoryRecommends when asset purchases and retirements are necessaryManages phone and internet systems at all terminals including service contractsDiagnoses and resolves any computer hardware issuesWorks closely with office printer supplierSoftware Administrator Manages account creation for new employeesHelps coordinate Window System upgradesAdministrator on all major operational software platforms
Operational PartnerResource for Operations on any hardware/software issuesProvides training when requested on operational software Helps manage customer (school districts) technology integrations Communicates with Operations on any technology related event
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience as an IT Specialist, Technician, Helpdesk or relevant positionStrong knowledge of computer networking, Office 365 administration experience, and PC application administrationFamiliarity with SonicWall, Ubiquity and SQL environmentsAbility to work independently on projects at times but also together with IT personnel Strong communication skills including the ability to create written guides for staffExperience training and teaching software systems to staff with no technical backgroundExcellent problem-solving skillsWillingness to travel to Operational terminals within Wisconsin (no overnights required)
