Job Description

Position Summary

The IT Support Specialist works in a support role for the I.T. department with an emphasis on customer service and problem resolution. The Support Specialist is required to answer help desk calls in a helpful, understanding and personable manner. The technician will trouble shoot problems over the phone and if not resolved either escalate to tier two support or go on site to fix problems as needed. This position reports to the Director of Support Services.

Answer Help Desk CallsTroubleshoot a variety of hardware and software problems either over the phone or in personRecord all calls in KACE call tracking systemBe familiar with installation and maintenance of all hardware used in rental, retail, ski school, ticketing and office applicationsReplace faulty hardwareCreate\manage user accountsDeal with warranty issuesImage computers using KACE K2000Replace leased assets under a deadlineOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent requiredProfessional computer experience requiredValid driver’s license and must be able to ski or snowboard at an advanced level

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems requiredStrong troubleshooting skills with both hardware and softwareProficiency in troubleshooting, disassembling and repairing PC’s and peripherals requiredProficiency with Microsoft ExcelProficient knowledge of WiFi and networking basicsExperience with Help Desk Institute (HDI) CertificationsA+ Certifications a plusProficient knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and/or Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS)Ability to work with and build relationships with employees at all levels throughout the CompanyAbility to engage with internal customers in a positive and helpful mannerAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAttention to detail

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions.This position will require exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces   Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
