IT Support Specialist
Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an IT Support Specialist in the steel manufacturing industry, located in Harvey, Illinois, United States. As an IT Support Specialist, your role will be pivotal in liaising between Managed Service Providers (MSP) and end users, providing levels 1-3 support and facilitating new hardware and software launches. Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary contact for MSP and end users, ensuring smooth communication and timely resolution of issues. • Provide levels 1-3 technical support to end users, addressing and resolving any IT related issues they may encounter. • Spearhead new hardware and software launches, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to the business operations. • Utilize your expertise in Microsoft 365 Enterprise to support and troubleshoot any related issues. • Exercise your skills in Cross Functional Project Management to coordinate between different teams and ensure the effective execution of IT projects. • Offer Mobile Device Support, assisting users with any mobile related issues and ensuring the optimal functioning of mobile devices. • Deliver Desktop Support, helping users with desktop-related problems and ensuring the efficient operation of desktop systems. • Provide Remote Desktop Support, assisting remote users in troubleshooting their issues and ensuring they can work effectively. • Use your knowledge of VOIP - Voice Over IP to assist with any related issues and ensure the smooth operation of voice communications. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably within the steel manufacturing industry. • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Enterprise, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. • Demonstrated experience in Cross Functional Project Management, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Proven skills in Mobile Device Support, providing assistance for various mobile platforms. • Expertise in Desktop Support, including hardware and software issues on various operating systems. • Experience with Remote Desktop Support, capable of resolving issues remotely and efficiently. • Knowledge of VOIP - Voice Over IP, including setup, support, and troubleshooting.
