Our client, in McAllen, TX is seeking a Part-Time IT Support Specialist to join their team. As an IT Specialist you will be part of the System Administrator Department supporting the team. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a WAN, LANs, VLANs, PTP connections, etc.  Strong understanding of HTML, JAVASCRIPT, PHP, MySQL. and knowledge and understanding of Windows10, 11; Windows Server 2019, 2022, Debian and other Linux operating systems which will align successfully in the organization.

What’s the Job?

 

Maintain and support the intranet portal’s functionality Provide technical support for staff, including creating, updating, and closing trouble tickets Monitor and ensure compliance with CTPAT surveillance, by overseeing camera systems Assist the Systems Administrator in the design and implementation of WAN links to other buildings within the organization. Responsible for looking for new ways to serve our Intranet members to use the Intranet more effectively to increase our internal efficiency of servicing the members.

 

What’s Needed?

 

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university; or equivalent education/experience in the computer science field. Two-year in web server management/development experience. Strong computer and internet skills. Must have a strong understanding of HTML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, etc. Proficient in coding language
