Job Summary 

Shambaugh & Son is looking for an IT support Technician in our Fort Wayne, IN office. In this position you will be responsible for providing initial point of contact for employees having IT related issues and escalate, as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Professionally and effectively serve as initial point of contact for the IT Helpdesk and escalate tickets in the system as needed Respond to technical support calls, emails, and in-person requests for assistance Prioritize work/tickets accordingly and work with other technicians to resolve issues Provide hardware, software, and networking support for all levels of the organization Provide end user training to employees Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, setup, configure, and deploy workstations, printers, switches, setup workstations Assist employees with various applications and operating systems Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical users Other duties as assigned

Qualifications 

4+ years of proven experience in a helpdesk of IT environment Strong team player and able to communicate with co-workers regularly  Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems Knowledge of network cabling and standards Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Ability to lift 40lbs Ability to prioritize work accordingly Good understanding of common network services and protocols
