IT Support Technician II
Description Robert Half is excited to present a potential opportunity for an IT Support Technician II, based in San Francisco, (hybrid schedule). As a crucial element of our collaborative team, you'll tackle a range of responsibilities from software and hardware troubleshooting to onsite and remote support. This contract role beckons for an IT professional ready and eager to demonstrate their prowess and grow while tackling real-world IT challenges. Responsibilities: • Assisting in the onboarding process by familiarizing staff with the software and tools used daily. • Managing and maintaining inventory of workplace equipment, including computers, laptops, monitors, phones, tablets, and cabling. • Providing second-tier desktop support for hardware and software across Windows and OSX machines. • Offering A/V Support for various events such as meetings, presentations, and live streams. • Balancing a mix of onsite, in-office support, and remote opportunities depending on daily responsibilities. • Demonstrating problem-solving, troubleshooting, and investigative skills in a fast-paced startup environment. • Communicating effectively with strong interpersonal skills. • Delivering robust customer service with a qualitative mindset. • Orchestrate the provision and shipment of laptops. • Administering and customizing software suites such as Google Workspace, Asana, 1Password, Adobe, Office 365. • Developing and/or updating documentation on various IT-related processes. Requirements + Strong background in IT, notably in a computing support role, and familiarity with advanced troubleshooting tasks associated with a Level 2 Support position. + Sound understanding and hands-on experience dealing with both Mac and Windows operating systems. + Exceptional problem-solving skills, notably in analyzing and resolving WiFi and printer related issues. + Experience in physical handling of IT equipment; collecting, distributing, and setting up of hardware as necessary. + Proven abilities in systems access determination, recognizing program ownership, and handling user permissions. + Experience with preparing and shipping laptops and other equipment to staff or remote locations while ensuring device security. + Proficiency in conference room technology troubleshooting and ensuring smooth, uninterrupted meetings and presentations. + Familiarity with modern workplace tools such as Google Workspace, Asana, Adobe, and other significant SaaS applications.
