JOB SUMMARY: The Systems Administrator’s role is to ensure stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Systems Administrator will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gauges the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develops and implements strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.Proposes and creates system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmer and development teams.Designs and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.Integrates servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.Ensures system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware, and other applications.Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.Ensures compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.Coordinates and performs in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.Monitors and tests system performance; prepares and delivers system performance statistics and reports.Provides orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systemsCompletes setup/installation/maintenance of AV equipment/systems.Conducts research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.Perform preventative maintenance on a routine basis.Liaises with managed service providers for network and security-related coverage.Rotating Helpdesk and On-Call Responsibilities.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Junior and Associate level Systems Engineer staffing.Manages hiring, goal setting, performance reviews, professional growth of direct reports.QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
5+ years of experience supporting multi-site server and network infrastructure.
3+ years of experience with hybrid Active Directory environments.
3+ years of experience with email systems like Exchange/Office365/G-suite.

Ability to develop procedures

Working knowledge of diagnostic utilities used for troubleshooting
