EPCOR is hiring a full-time IT Systems Specialist position and reporting to our US Corporate office in Phoenix, Arizona. This role will require frequent travel to EPCOR locations within the Phoenix and AZ service areas - full time onsite presence is required for this position.
What you’d be responsible for:
Acting as a point of contact for all IT issues and requests for in scope locations.Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issuesPerforming IT equipment installs including, but not limited to desktop computers, network equipment, UPS and racks.Working with remote teams to support networking, file access, printing, M365 and application supportSupports users with iPhone deployments, migrations, upgrades.Works within both project and operations team as required as well as independently.Configuration of new desktop/laptop computers following EPCOR procedures.Installation of physical new desktop/laptop as required.Post-implementation support. Assist users either remotely through Teams or by visiting the sites locally in Phoenix as required.Assist with training local staff to support the product once the project is complete; instructions and training materials to be created by EPCOR.Decommission of end of life desktop/laptops (wiping and removing of hard drives).Updating Active Directory (adding and removing machine accounts).Updating IT assets in inventory system and review wiring closets.Taking inventory of IT assets (e.g. Desktops, laptops, printers, routers and switches, cabling, UPS, etc.)Labeling and updating IT assets in inventory system.Equipment installation and setup.Post-implementation support. Assist users either remotely through Teams or by visiting the sites locally in Phoenix as required.Assist with training local staff to support the product once the project is complete; instructions and training materials to be created by EPCOR.Assessment of existing equipment gathering device information (quantity, make, model, etc.)Conduct standard implementation testing of identified business applications/services. EPCOR to provide test documentation.Post-implementation support. Assist users either remotely through Teams or by visiting the sites as required.Assist with training local staff to support the product once the project is complete; instructions and training materials to be created by EPCOR.
What’s required to be successful:
Associate’s degree in the fields of Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, or equivalent combination of experience and training in a related field.Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Desktop and Infrastructure support with demonstrated Tier 2 desktop support experience.Experience in supporting enterprise-level network infrastructure, including switches and routers.Demonstrate a positive attitude, and a focus on maintaining positive customer service relationships. Must also possess a high performance, high discipline, self-starting, safe, accountable, achievement-oriented work ethic.Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize workload.Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently.Available to work evenings and weekends as required.Experienced in application installation and troubleshooting.Experienced in IT equipment physical installation.Familiarity with iPhones, including knowledge and experience with iPhones iCloud syncFamiliarity with Mobile Device Management processes.Knowledge and experience with Microsoft M365, Teams, and Azure.Great customer service attitude and an ability to work with end users, field staff and management.Availability to travel to various sites in the Phoenix area.Experience working with Microsoft best practices.Proficiency in using SCCM to deploy Windows 10/Windows 11.Proven ability to work within standard procedures and methodologies, as wells as providing input into procedure and methodology improvement.Proven ability to communicate within the project team and user base, both verbally and in writing.
