EPCOR is hiring a full-time IT Systems Specialist – Platform Analyst position reporting to our Round Rock, Texas administrative office.

 

This individual is accountable for the implementation, configuration, support and maintenance of EPCOR’s core cloud infrastructure platforms which includes Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure. This position will work closely with the Infrastructure and Security Architecture team in advancing EPCOR’s hybrid cloud computing model in a manner that aligns with security and information management best practices.

 

In addition, this individual will report to the Manager, Platform Services and operates within the context and prescribed limited established by Senior Manager, Security Services.

What you’d be responsible forProvide expert knowledge on cloud infrastructure and platforms, to ensure our organization achieves its goals for cloud adoption. This involves translating cloud strategy and architecture into efficient, resilient, and secure technical implementations and ongoing operational support.Accountability for the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of EPCOR’s Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure and other cloud provider solutions including managing the day-to-day tasks related to policy management, allocation and planning, incident management and ensuring the efficient, effective, and reliable delivery of service.Accountability for providing input into the Cloud Services roadmap to ensure proper maintenance and update of core technology.Working with the Immediate Manager and Cloud Architecture teams, develop, implement and review cloud operational processes and procedures to ensure compliance to policies, standards, regulatory requirements and ensure mitigation of risks.Provide subject matter expertise for collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Mural and on-premises equipment such as Microsoft Teams Room devices, Crestron and other enterprise grade video conferencing equipment.Continuously monitor, investigate and communicate new features and tools as they are released in the Cloud service provider solutions and participate in a governance council where these changes are assessed, implemented and communicated to the user base.Act as a point of contact and liaison between the support teams, EPCOR business units and IT representatives for day-to-day issues related to the cloud infrastructure operations team.Participate/Lead problem management activities, including post-mortem incident analysis, providing technical insight, documented findings, outcomes and recommendations as part of a root cause analysis.Provide input to cloud infrastructure and operations plans and directions, and ensure on-going appropriate relationships with other positions, business units, service providers and end users.Demonstrate high performance, high discipline, safe, accountable, focused, innovative and achievement-oriented, easy to do business with manner.Ensure the delivery of optimal results against appropriate performance metrics including:  project and operational delivery times, client satisfaction, ticket response targets, resolution targets, availability and service quality.Other related duties as required and/or assigned.What’s required to be successfulBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering or a relevant two-year technical degree from a recognized technical institute.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Information Services experience. Experience in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies and corresponding certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.Enterprise computing such as Windows, Linux, storage, backup and/or networking technologies and corresponding certifications.Demonstrated commitment to continual learning and growth.Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert proficiency of Microsoft 365 (Teams, Teams Voice, Intune, and Exchange Online) Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure including managing the day-to-day tasks related to resource provisioning, allocation planning and security. Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Enterprise Applications, and other related integrations Understand and effectively manage other cloud provider solutions including managing the day-to-day tasks related to resource provisioning, allocation planning and security. Capability to develop and manage Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure processes and procedures, propose new standards, address peer feedback and advocate for continual improvement. Deep understanding of current and emerging technology, particularly cloud technologies and practices Collaboration with developers, technical architects, management and business users to plan, design, implement, operationalize and problem solve workloads that leverage cloud infrastructure and platform services. Comprehensive IT Infrastructure knowledge of desktop, server, storage and networking technologies. Capability to manage major incidents. Capability to successfully deliver ongoing Platform Services Operations.
