We strive to foster a thriving Montana industry marketplace through education, common-sense regulation, and equitable enforcement of the law with swift accountability for fraudsters and justice for their victims. *About the Job* The IT Systems Support Specialist is one of two IT positions at the CSI and works under the direction of the CSI IT Manager and provides both in-person and remote IT support for approximately 70 people. Both positions are in-office and overlap and back each other up. Occasional remote work is allowed. CSI IT also partners/contracts with the State Information Technology Services Division (SITSD) and an outside vendor to augment some IT services to the agency on an as-needed basis. The IT Systems Support Specialist is primarily responsible for Desktop, Phone, Mobile Device, Server Support, Service Desk and User Management and Security functions. The IT Systems Support Specialist also performs some systems analysis and improvement functions and will have opportunities to learn, practice and refine other skills such as strategic planning, project management, deeper business and systems analysis, leadership and more. The CSI IT Systems Support Specialist is a permanent full-time (40 hours per week) position with normal work hours being Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM. Occasional travel (<10%) and work outside normal business hours is required and the position is FLSA Non-Exempt. Nearly all CSI staff works from the main office located at 840 Helena Avenue near downtown Helena, with some staff occasionally working remotely throughout the state and across the country in the course of their work. CSI staff perform a variety of functions, including consumer assistance and customer service, licensing and registration, insurance forms review, actuarial analysis and review, insurance market conduct analysis and review, insurance company and broker firm examinations, civil and criminal investigations and prosecutions, and other functions typically associated with a government agency such as budgeting, contracting and purchasing, HR and accounting. The CSI has developed a reputation as one of the best run agencies in State government, and the CSI IT team is considered a key partner to the operations of the CSI. CSI IT is transitioning to fully implementing and utilizing SITSD/Enterprise tools and procedures for IT system support functions. This position will play a key role in forming and optimizing how these functions are performed, with the goal of CSI being a model agency in Montana when it comes to how agency and enterprise IT teams work together and are aligned in delivering support and services. This position will work closely with SITSD teams and participate and pair with SITSD staff on technical projects, training, development and deployment of support tools and processes. MajorDutiesand Responsibilities: Desktop, Phone, Mobile Device and Server Management and Support · Utilize Tanium and VMWare to deploy, maintain, and patch the CSI PC and server environments, including installing and upgrading operating systems and “standard” applications. · Utilize MDM to deploy, maintain and patch mobile devices (tablets, mifis and phones) and manage the associated voice and data plans for optimal use and cost. · Produce an annual PC replacement plan and assist with producing the overall CSI IT budget. · Maintain a hardware asset management (HAM)/inventory and perform these functions in alignment with SITSD best practices and processes. Maintain inventories for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers/scanners and MFCs, televisions, projectors, conference room phones, portable storage devices and loaner equipment. · Track, manage and dispose of surplus equipment. · Maintain a software asset management (SAM)/inventory and perform these functions in alignment with SITSD best practices and processes. Add and remove licenses to ensure optimal costs, prepare renewals, and manage allocations. · Facilitate and manage the use of the State telephones, ring groups, and call centers and maintain CSI State telephone inventory, including FAX and analog line devices. · Ensure device placement and cabling are clean, bundled, and professional looking and facilitates ergonomics and safety. Service Desk · Utilize ServiceNow to track and manage assistance requests. · Provide assistance and help to end users with applications, typically with intermediate to advanced functions associated with Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat. · Manage resource mailboxes and distribution lists. · Respond to and assist users with basic to advanced technology problems, questions, concerns, and function · Manage print ques and help with printers (resolve jams, assist with toner replacements, configuration, and setup). User Management and Security · Perform password resets and changes · Perform all technology duties associated with provisioning new users and terminating outgoing employees, including adding and removing from Active Directory and provisioning/deprovisioning in other CSI systems and vendor resources. · Manage Group Policy settings for workstation and user configurations. · Manage RSA tokens · Perform as the backup SABHRS Security Manager. · Manage file share security requests and structure. · Manage CSI Active Directory (AD) object creation and maintenance, including memberships for users, service accounts, distribution lists, security groups and resource boxes. · Serve as the System Admin for user account management for the department’s systems, including Keeper, Adobe, Docusign, Grammarly, Perplexity, Kaseware, NAIC systems, Clio. · Mitigate and respond to User, PC and Server vulnerabilities. · Manage and respond to Sentinel One alerts. Research, Professional Development, Systems analysis and Improvement · Collect and analyze user requirements to make recommendations about IT enhancements and provide IT solutions to business processes. · Research emerging technologies. · Learn CSI business processes · Attend meetings and trainings and collaborate with colleagues. MinimumEducation and ExperienceQualifications: The IT Systems Support Specialist must have completed an associate degree in information technology or a related field or three years of experience supporting network or computer systems technologies. Other combinations of education, certification, or experience may be substituted. MinimumKnowledge Skills and AbilitiesQualifications: TheIT Systems Support Specialist musthaveknowledgeofmanaged workstation environments and be familiar with Active Directory, Microsoft Windows, and State of Montana standard technologies described above or similar.
