About the IT Talent Support Coordinator Role:

The IT Talent Support Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the staffing needs of Information Technology Services (ITS) by facilitating the recruitment process and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Reporting to the Manager, ITS Business Services, this role is responsible for collaborating with ITS leadership to identify upcoming job vacancies, coordinating with hiring managers (and acting as their delegate, when required) throughout the recruitment lifecycle, and ensuring a seamless experience for candidates.

Key responsibilities include pre-screening candidates, maintaining ongoing communication to keep them engaged, and liaising with the Talent Acquisition (TA) team and Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) within People(s) Culture (PC) to ensure compliance with hiring policies and procedures. This role is key in providing recruitment support to ensure that ITS staffing needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Education

The successful candidate will possess a post-secondary College diploma or degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or a related field.

Experience/Skills

The successful candidate must have:

3-5 years of work experience in IT recruitment, talent acquisition, or a similar role.A strong understanding of recruitment processes, including job requisitions, candidate sourcing, screening, and interview coordination.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with hiring managers, People(s) Culture, and candidates.The ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlinesFamiliarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software.Basic knowledge of IT roles and technical terminology to facilitate effective candidate screening and communication.Strong organizational skills with the ability to gather and maintain accurate data on recruitment activities.Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.Experience in a unionized, public-sector environment is also an asset, as is experience in education.
