Job Description

  

Job Summary:

Provide local client IT support for the Ventura region mainly Teledyne Scientific and Imaging in the Thousand Oaks facility. Will be requiem to assist with other sites in the region as needed. Install hardware and software, perform hardware refreshes and software and OS upgrades, and manage break-fix of hardware.  

Receives detailed instructions on new tasks and/or projects, little to no guidance on routine, varied situations that are normally encountered. Generally, requires high attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Respond to, evaluate, and prioritize all tickets assigned to the site’s deskside support group and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.Research and utilize necessary resources to troubleshoot new problems while escalating those unable to be resolvedRecord and track interactions with end-users and related activities in the service desk toolCreate Knowledge Base articles as repetitive issues ariseProvide site IT support encompassing:PC configuration and troubleshooting - OS, hardware, and software;PC maintenance/preventative maintenance;Printer installation, networking, configuration and troubleshooting;New user setup on Active Directory network;Support for client applications;Troubleshooting phone issues that Service Desk cannot resolve and escalates to local supportSupport for peripherals such as monitors, scanners, external hard disks, USB devices, keyboards, mice, etc.Maintain department loaner equipment and administer checkout processReview and record daily event logsCall software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective productsSupport equipment used in conference rooms and auditoriumProvide IT support for all local systems/applicationsPerform project work as directedVentura Regional TeamBe an essential part of the Ventura IT Team supporting multiple sitesWork closely with local site and with other team members using approved tools and reporting mechanisms to ensure that we follow the policies and procedures that have been put into place to ensure a safe, secure, updated computing environment


Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required and 5 – 10 years of experience in an Information Technology service & support role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Associate's degree (A.S.) from two-year college or technical school in a related field or Information Technology certifications preferred.

Computer Skills

Detailed knowledge and intermediate understanding of the following technologies:Windows 10/11Active DirectoryMicrosoft Office 2010, 365 (including Outlook, Teams, etc.)Virtualization tools such as VMWareCurrent hardwareAbility to learn and adapt to new technologies


 

  

Salary Range:

$59,400.00-$79,310.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
