Detailed Job Description:

Under general supervision, responsible for script development, integration, and validation of video backend systems. As a member of the team, you will develop, implement and execute test plans, help with escalations from the field, and create and maintain related documentation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience Participate in the overall planning and design of the testing environments Work with other team members and engineering groups to identify hardware and software testing requirements Perform system - wide end-to-end integration and regression testing Document results and review with designated teams or vendors as needed Work with vendors and video engineers to resolve issues discovered during testing; develop and document workarounds where possible, and assist operations team with implementation and escalations as needed Participate in Operational handoff review activities Performs other duties as requested by supervisor

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge:

Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner. Ability to perform duties in a very fast pace environment Ability to learn new technology quickly Ability to use personal computer and software applications. Intermediate Data Networking Knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, Optical Networking)

Ability to work in a team environment.

Knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology Knowledge in Video On Demand systems Knowledge in Switched Digital Video systems Intermediate knowledge in using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations Intermediate Knowledge of basic network devices and basic network appliances Intermediate knowledge of network designing software, such as Visio Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience Knowledge of Linux variants and command line interface (CLI) usage. Bash and/or Python scripting
