PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an IT Technical Writer to join our team in the manufacturing industry. What You Will Do:
As an IT Technical Writer, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, revising, and maintaining technical documents that support software, systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user guides. You’ll work closely with engineers and product teams to gather, analyze, and document detailed product functionality. Your work will ensure that end-users, developers, and stakeholders have access to accurate and actionable information.
In addition to writing technical content, you'll collaborate with graphic designers to create clear, detailed artwork from CAD drawings, ensuring that complex concepts are communicated effectively through visuals and text.
 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Write and update technical documentation for software, system operations, and user manuals.

Collaborate with engineers and product teams to gather technical information and ensure accurate documentation.

Analyze changes in product functionality and update documents accordingly.

Work alongside graphic designers to produce illustrations and artwork from CAD drawings to complement the documentation.

Review, revise, and maintain existing technical documents to ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy.

Ensure all technical documentation meets company standards and guidelines.

 
Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in technical writing, specifically in the manufacturing or IT industries.

Strong proficiency in writing clear, concise, and detailed documentation for technical audiences.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.

Experience with Adobe Illustrator or other graphic design tools to create visual elements for documentation.

 
Education Requirement:

Associate’s Degree (or equivalent experience in technical writing or a related field).

 
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with CAD drawings and understanding of engineering concepts.

Familiarity with documentation management tools and software.

Knowledge of system operations, software development, and testing procedures.

Pay Details: $42.94 per hour
