ProSphere (PST), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is seeking an IT Technician to support a production environment. Under the general direction and supervision of the Deputy Project Manager, the candidate will perform diagnostics on laptops and peripherals as they are received from the field. The candidate works from general guidelines and follows standardized procedures and instructions and maintains detailed records and logs of all services performed. Coordinates work with other personnel and vendors as needed. Provides technical assistance and support to logistics, quality assurance and Project Manager, as required. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities Conducts tests of computer equipment to determine if it is functioning properly and diagnoses problems with equipmentDiagnoses, all equipment returned to National Processing Center (NPC), including laptops and other peripheral equipment; tests and repairs all field repairable assemblies.Packages all equipment in standardized proper way for return shipments.Documents all repairs for Quality Assurance testing and processing.Interfaces with departmental staff when required to ensure National Processing Center (NPC) customer satisfaction.Performs inventory of assets to include laptops, printers, monitors and accessories.Maintains technical documentation library as required.Maintains neat and organized work areas.Assists Deputy Project Manager on testing of equipment and providing information to field engineers. Minimum Requirements Associate degree in electronics or equivalent certificate from a technical or trade school, or other equivalent training and work experience.Excellent organizational skills.Good command of the English language and good verbal and writing communication skills.
