Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to provide hands-on technical support for end-user desktops, laptops, network infrastructure, and software systems. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, deploying system upgrades, and maintaining network connectivity. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with strong communication skills and a passion for technology.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide technical support for hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
+ Manage and respond to end-user tickets via SysAid, ensuring timely troubleshooting and resolution.
+ Assist in the deployment and maintenance of software, hardware upgrades, and antivirus updates.
+ Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving network cabling, routers, switches, and wireless connections.
+ Maintain hardware and software inventory to ensure compliance and report upcoming expirations.
+ Support WAN functionality, including Cisco routers, firewalls, VPNs, and site-to-site connections.
+ Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference.
+ Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT best practices.
+ Travel to different Richmond locations as needed for IT support.
Qualifications & Requirements:
+ Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field OR relevant certifications (A+, Network+, etc.).
+ Experience: 1-2 years in IT support, computer systems administration, or network troubleshooting.
+ Skills:
+ Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft products, and LAN administration.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
+ Other Requirements:
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site support.
+ Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
+ Flexibility to work occasional extended hours for software upgrades or urgent troubleshooting.
