Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Technician to support our organization’s technology infrastructure. The IT Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware, software, and network systems to ensure smooth IT operations.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to assist employees with IT-related issues. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices (e.g., printers, scanners, VoIP phones).
+ Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
+ Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches).
+ Manage user accounts and access controls in Active Directory, Office 365, and other systems.
+ Assist with IT security best practices, including antivirus management and system updates.
+ Support cloud-based applications such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and SaaS platforms.
+ Perform hardware repairs and upgrades, including replacing hard drives, memory, and other components.
+ Configure and troubleshoot email clients, collaboration tools, and remote access solutions.
+ Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
+ Assist with software installations, updates, and patch management.
+ Work with vendors and service providers to resolve IT-related issues.
+ Provide basic training to employees on IT tools and best practices.
+ Support IT inventory management and asset tracking.
+ Assist in backup and disaster recovery planning.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
+ 1-3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical support roles.
+ Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
+ Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
+ Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and IT ticketing systems.
+ Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and peripherals).
+ Strong problem-solving, analytical, and multitasking skills.
+ Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Certified, Cisco CCNA.
+ Experience with remote desktop support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, RDP).
+ Knowledge of IT security best practices, antivirus software, and endpoint protection.
+ Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
+ Experience with VoIP phone systems and conferencing tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
