Within POWDR’s portfolio are seven mountain resorts including Copper Mountain and Eldora Mountain Resort in Colorado; Boreal Mountain Resort and Soda Springs in the Lake Tahoe region of California; Mt. Included in the POWDR portfolio, is Stovepipe Wells located in Death Valley National Park, operated under a long-term concessions contract with the National Park Service.
Zion Lodge is in National Register of Historic Places designed in 1924 by Gilbert Stanley Underwood in the National Park Service rustic style. The Zion Lodge is a year-round operation with 76 hotels rooms, 6 suites and 40 cabins as well as a restaurant, outside grab and go café, bar, gift shop and auditorium space. In the year 2025 a coffee and wine bar will be opening.
Zion Lodge is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Zion National Park. Over the next few years, the resort will undergo upgrades to rejuvenate accommodations and dining for public enjoyment. Renewable energy projects and energy efficiency upgrades will also be completed as well as other Sustainability innovations. POWDR operates Zion Lodge under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.
Job Summary:
This position will be an essential member of POWDR IT Team, a technical hands-on leader responsible for assisting local and remote staff with technical support ranging from endpoint troubleshooting, A/V support, IoT devices and network connectivity. This role will oversee day-to-day IT operations for Zion Lodge. They will collaboratively work to define best practices, drive new processes, and lead IT projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
While every day is different and our roles may shift based on business needs, here is what you can expect to dive into in this role as the IT Technician III:
Collaborate closely with staff to understand existing guest expectations and business processes.
Integrate closely with business units as a trusted and valuable resource in setting and meeting their operational goals.
Work with department managers to provide department-specific IT solutions
Identify and recommend new technology solutions and define best practice for configuration.
Develop and curate asset management related processes and procedures, standards, policies, compliance controls, and reporting
Communicate plans, progress, goals, and roadblocks to internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure short term needs are aligned with long term goals and capabilities.
Identify and drive ongoing opportunities for business and process transformation.
Respond to and resolve IT Service Requests which may include hardware and software issues, connectivity problems, and other computer-related issues.
Provide technical support for A/V, video conferencing configuration, hardware, and software support.
Perform a variety of tasks related to the ongoing maintenance of devices as directed.
Confer regularly with immediate supervisor, other department and company personnel, guests, and/or various firms and organizations outside the company to plan and coordinate activities, exchange information, improve efficiency, foster effective communication, and resolve problems.
Always provide superior service to our customers (internal and external).
Document, track, and monitor tickets to ensure SLAs are met.

Work Location:
Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, housing will be provided on-site and commuting from the local vicinity is also acceptable.
Due to the nature of our business, Zion Lodge is open every day. You must be prepared to work a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Proven experience managing and configuring complex software solutions that impact business processes.

Ability to identify and execute technology initiatives that have direct customer and business impact.
Ability to communicate and champion a roadmap effectively to customers, stakeholders, and executives.
Prefer experience with Circuitree, Cisco, Aruba, Zendesk, and / or payment card authorization gateways.
Experience in the outdoor industry preferred.
