Detailed Job Description:

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Chicago, IL or Evansville, IN or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time. Candidate must have ability to guide a team of Windows/VMware system administrators, Exchange administrators, storage and backup administrators, L1/L2/L3 teams from an Architecture perspective. Candidate will work with multiple vendors like Microsoft, VMware, EMC, Dell etc. including Datacenter service providers and client stakeholders. Exposure to Data Domain, Avamar, Isilon, Nimble, Zerto required Candidate will work in various life cycle stages for Datacenter – including procurement, installation, server and storage provisioning, decommissioning, monitoring etc. Expertise in working with Onsite, Onshore and Offshore teams. Good understanding of Solarwinds tool. Sound knowledge of AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Windows patching, hardware and software upgrades etc. Guide the team to manage user roles, permissions, and policies. Candidate should have clear understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, Capacity and Availability management processes. Must have ability to track SLAs and KPIs.

At least 12 years of experience in the following areas:

Storage system architecture Use and or design of Storage systems Handle cross team performance issues from identification of the cause, determining the areas of improvement and driving those actions to closure Conduct performance monitoring/tuning, and capacity monitoring/planning for all environments Produce scripts to perform and automate regular administration and housekeeping tasks Experience with scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting actively running systems Well versed with VMWare technologies and the underlying Compute layer Design & solutioning Microsoft Exchange on-prem & O365 is preferred Experience with BlackBerry administration is preferred Experience migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud Solution selling experience is preferred DR architecture design for application, server, database, and storage elements Recommend and develop DR strategies and options Coordinate and facilitate technical DR plan tests/exercises Active Directory Administration & solutioning experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects Planning/organizing- able to prioritize activities and manage multiple tasks. Quality control- demonstrates accuracy in configuration and documentation, with a desire for standardization. Dependability-consistently at work and on time, ensures follow-up with customers. Teamwork- works well with co-workers, including cross-training on technology. Project experience with SaaS, IaaS, PaaS. Strong Vendor Relationship Management skills. ITIL Global Process Experience preferred. Familiarity with Service Now. Experience operating with a PPM.
