Detailed Job Description:

Database Performance optimizations on SYBASE and Sybase IQ database. Sybase IQ upgrade and taking care daily performance issues/ or maintenance. Perform POC’s from SYBASE ASE to MS SQL/Oracle server database by SSMA tool. Lead highly complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts , Develop, implement and maintain automation efficiencies using scripting languages (PERL, KornShell) in a UNIX environment Responsibility for analysis of Sybase / SQL code and development where changes are necessary. Tunes queries / stored procedures, indexes, and other database elements. Plan and design database changes necessary for data conversion, tool configuration, data refresh or migration or other initiatives related to large application development project. Troubleshooting errors or production problems involving databases to determine causes and proposed solutions. Monitor, analyze, and optimized Sybase TSQL stored procedures and views Review daily/weekly database monitoring report and inform to Application team if any Action require
