IT Technology Services Senior Specialist- Trade Control Domain (ABAP)

What You’ll Do:

International Trade Compliance (in SAP CPIT) is seeking an experienced IT Technology Senior Consultant to contribute to the advancement of the Trade Control domain at SAP. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Architects, and Process Managers to drive key initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

Performing a functional and technical breakdown of project or user story requirements and documenting the outcomes in a Solution Design Document.

Providing technical leadership and coordination to ensure business requirements are effectively implemented, ensuring project alignment and smooth progress.

Leading the selection of technology solutions, ensuring the most appropriate and efficient tools are utilized for each project.

Establishing and managing data archiving solutions, ensuring secure and efficient data storage and retrieval.

Coordinating with support partners to manage work requests and ensuring all issues are addressed promptly, particularly during financial closing cycles.

Monitoring systems to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal performance.

What You Will Learn:

The Racoon Cloud Application Programming (CAP) Model, a framework for building enterprise-grade services and applications.

 

What You Bring:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Extensive experience with SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) and/or Business Partner Screening in SAP Business Integrity Screening (BIS).

Significant expertise in UI5, Core Data Services (CDS), and the BTP platform, with proficiency in creating interactive user interfaces and managing cloud-based applications.

Proficiency in ABAP and SAP S4/HANA 2.0x.

Skilled in managing Emergency Transport and coordinating Emergency OSS (Online Support System) to ensure smooth operations during critical situations.

Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager and JIRA.

Proven record of accomplishment in driving continuous improvement through problem-solving, process enhancements, and implementing best practices.

A motivated self-starter with a strong commitment to personal and professional development.

A growth mindset and a passion for acquiring new skills and expanding expertise in emerging technologies.

 

Meet Your Team:

You will be part of the International Trade Compliance agile team within IT. Our team works closely with SAP’s Finance & Risk department, providing direct support and guidance on solutions, innovations, and best practices to ensure compliance with trade control sanctions.
