The Team

Eurofins endeavors to develop all our software applications in-house to service and support our numerous laboratories globally. With hundreds of thousands of clinical diagnostic tests performed every day, the laboratories of the Eurofins clinical diagnostic services business line strive to ensure that every patient, wherever he or she lives, has access to the most specialized and most innovative techniques for diagnosis, monitoring, and therapeutic decisions. Such activities require extensive planning and organisation which can be augmented using technology.

Our Clinical LIMS Europe Program will extensively be used as the central Laboratory Information Management System throughout Europe, this role is crucial in defining and delivering the product roadmap.

Job description

Test preparation

You will draw up/update your test cases yourself based on specifications and make preparations to be able to carry out your test cases correctly and completely.

Reviewing the requirements supplied by the customer for completeness, correctness and clarity (reviews)Apply black box test design techniques (EP/BVA/Decision Table/State Transition/Use Case)Select and prioritize test cases that qualify for automation and/or regression

Test execution

You ensure correct application of the test plan

Create test log, including Pass/Fail resultCreate Defects, with sufficient test evidence, discuss with developersExploratory testing with inside informationAutomate testing processes with approved tooling

Test Report

Analysis of the test results and associated communication

Communicate results to the Test LeadProvide daily test reportsSuggest test improvements

The job goes with a hybrid work arrangement with 2 days per week on-site work in Alges area, Lisbon (Portugal), and 3 days per week remotely.

Job requirements

3 years minimum testing experienceExperienced with FrontEnd and BackEnd Test AutomationISTQB Foundation Level certificate (IREB, PSM1 is a plus)Some knowledge of test management tools and defect management systemsExcellent knowledge of Portuguese and English, French or German is a plusAnalytical mindsetGreat interest and motivation to develop Test Automation in the short term and then implement Automated ProcessesAbility to communicate and collaborate with colleagues and customersExperienced with coding test automation scriptsProgramming skills (JavaScript, Python, c#, etc...)Knowledge of common development practices (Agile, DevOps, TDD etc)
